On Boxing Day 1920 around 100 men were welcomed by Mr and Mrs Duckett on the grounds of the home Riversdale. Flo's Palace was located at 97 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst, Sydney. Owned by Dawn O'Donnell and Roger Claude Tesseydre and managed by Dennis (Flo) Fuller. Notable for its glass disco dance floor, it was also an early venue notable for its east Asian clientele.Black and white photograph.

The bluestone church was designed by Ballarat architect Henry Richards Casselli, and constructed at a cost of 730 pounds. The church was opened on 18 April 1869. The Sunday School Hall was built c.1879. The church was closed in April 2015, and was subsequently sold. The Dive, in Elgar Road Park was formed when water seeped into the hole from which clay had been quarried for brick-making. In 1905 the Surrey Swimming Club was formed and carnivals were held regularly.
