Historical information

Supporters of the Mission often made their homes and gardens available as venue for Christmas Boxing day and Cup day events or picnics. On Boxing Day 1920 around 100 men were welcomed by Mr and Mrs Duckett on the grounds of the home Riversdale. They went there on a river excursion.

Significance

A record of just one group of international sailors a long way from their home an country attending a Mission event.
