This small bronze bust of General Pompey Elliott was commissioned for the 100th Anniversary of the Camberwell RSL in 2019. General Elliott was the founding President of the Camberwell RSL and served the veterans of Camberwell and surrounding districts untiringly until his death in March 1931. The full size Bust now stands in the memorial lawn at the Camberwell RSL.

Originally it was "Japanned" finished' with black baked enamel which is now peeling off. There is a indented small zigzag pattern on the head where it would meet the handle. This photograph forms part of the Eric Sibly collection of images and information relating to the Outer Circle Railway which he donated to the Kew Historical Society in 1974. Heritage Victoria Citation (Abridged) "The Chandler Highway Bridge, a 137 metre wrought iron lattice-truss girder bridge with four spans supported on red brick piers with moulded bluestone cappings. The bridge has a cantilevered walkway along the west side. ...The Chandler Highway Bridge crosses the Yarra River and connects Alphington and Kew. This police baton or truncheon is typical of the ones used by police in Australia perhaps late in the 19th century or early in the 20th century. No information has yet been found as to the identity of the owner or the significance of the letters, ‘A P 1304’. There are several possibilities as the collection of the old Warrnambool Museum which operated from the 1870s to the 1960s included several police batons. The owner of this baton is not known but is retained pending further research.This is a wooden police baton. The rounded body is tapered towards the top and it has an incised ridge near the top and a knob on the top to form a handle. The ridge at the top may be for holding a string or rope to carry the baton on the wrist. The wood has been varnished but it is now much worn and discoloured. This letter book contains letters, sketch maps and plans and dates from 1929 to 1934. It came from the office of John William Crawley Junior, an engineer, surveyor, and architect in private practice in Warrnambool and also the engineer for the Shire of Warrnambool from 1895 to 1935. His father, brother and son were also engineers, working in that capacity or as Shire Secretary for the Shire of Warrnambool, with the Crawley family recording a total of 132 years of service to the Shire. The Shire of Warrnambool existed from 1863 to 1994. The letter book was passed on to John Crawley’s son, Rolf who was the engineer for the Shire of Warrnambool from 1935 to 1968. It then came into the possession of Michael Hand who took over the private surveying business of Rolf Crawley in Warrnambool. The Warrnambool and District Historical Society acquired the letter book, along with several other Crawley ledgers, from the estate of Michael Hand. This letter book is of considerable importance as it contains letters and maps from the late 1920s and 1930s and was compiled by John Crawley Junior, an engineer in the Shire of Warrnambool for 40 years. It will be a useful research tool. This is a hard-cover letter book of 1005 pages. It contains an alphabetical index at the front, handwritten letters, sketch maps and plans and some loose sheets. It has brown leather binding on the corners of the cover and on the spine but the spine covering is completely detached. The gold lettering on the spine is now almost completely obliterated. This booklet was produced by the 3 YB radio station in Warrnambool as a fund raiser for the Warrnambool Hospital. The three people on the front cover are: Christine Benbow, Oscar Henry and Ken Warne. The recipes in this booklet were sent into the radio program "Piano Time". The radio station 3 YB began in January 1936. Its origins were in the mobile van unit established by Ballarat radio announcer Jack Young. Today 3YB is operated by ACE Radio. The Warrnambool Hospital was established in 1854 as the Warrnambool and District Hospital and Benevolent Asylum and is today known as South West Healthcare Warrnambool Campus. This booklet is of some interest as an example of the cookery books produced in the mid 20th century by 3 YB Warrnambool.This is a soft covered booklet of 34 pages. The back cover and possibly some pages are missing and the front cover is loose. The booklet was bound with metal staples but now has a plastic clip. The framed photographs were presented to University of Ballarat to commemorate 140 years of Technical Education.
