Valuable old lace was often salvaged to be used again. Here motifs have been reclaimed from an earlier 18th Century lace (probably damaged) and appliqued onto machine made cotton net probably early in the 19th Century. The original motifs are either Flemish or Honiton. Use: as a costume trimmingBobbin lace motifs appliqued onto a machine made net. Edging.

Fashion Item. Bonnet veils were very fashionable during the 19th century. At this time old lace was highly valued - in this case old Argentan needle lace motifs (mid 18th century) have been reclaimed and appliqued onto machine made cotton net to form this 19th century bonnet veil. FERRET BOX made from old liquor box/ crate. Rectangular shaped box with lid. Lid has been hinged, with leather strap for fastening lid down and has sliding metal piece used as a door to the cage. Is of Historical significance. This map was put together by T.R.Beaton on the 15th February 2002. He used old railway and road maps to show the route and it took him over 15 months to put together. T.R. Beaton was Manager/Curator of Australian Government Memorial Museum built above " Hellfire Pass " or Konyu Cutting.Framed picture map of the Burma _ Siam Railway.

Walter was the youngest son of Emily and Thomas Antonio. At the time of the marriage Ivy was only 19 years of age. Her mother, Ada Alice Bond. gave her consent to the marriage and was also a witness. The other witness was John Thomas Antonio, eldest brother of the groom. Emily Antonio is seated at the right of the photograph wearing a yellow dress. Presumably, the the lady on the left is Ada Bond, the mother of the bride. Thomas Antonio, the groom's father, would be the older gentleman standing behind the groom, and John Antonio would be one of the younger men standing. Ivy did have an older brother, Stanley Gordon, so presumably that would be the gentleman standing behind her mother. Georgies Bus was a converted bus that was used as a mobile information, counselling and referral service for 12 to 25-year olds. Blackburn North Shopping Centre was originally known as Old Orchard Shopping Centre. It was built in 1965 on land previously covered by orchards. Mitcham Model Dairy was owned by Patrick and Mary Davin for 30 years. When they closed, Kew Model Dairy took over their customers. This shed was on part of the orchard property of Mr Henry Ireland of 12 Quarry Road Mitcham. He has cleared the property and planted an apple orchard by about 1910. When he died in 1947 the orchard was cut up. Mrs Ireland lived in the house until she died. William and Sarah Course settled in Forest Hill in 1856. William was firstly a woodcutter, then a farmer and orchardist.
