Blackburn North Shopping Centre was originally known as Old Orchard Shopping Centre. It was built in 1965 on land previously covered by orchards. The name of the centre changed in the 1970's to North Blackburn Square Shopping Centre and in the 1990's to the Blackburn North Shopping Centre
