This photographic portrait was commissioned to commemorate Dr Genevieve Goulding's term as President of ANZCA. Traditionally, ANZCA presidents have been commemorated at the end of their term with a commissioned oil painting. In 2015, the decision was made by ANZCA Council to change to photographic portraiture. This meant the existing oil paintings of College presidents became a formed collection which will not be added to and this portrait is the first to be commissioned in the new medium. It was unveiled at the ANZCA Council dinner on 22 July 2016. Grave of Victor Bonsak (died 11/04/1891) and Mary Bonsak (b1878 died 24/03/1938) in Plot# N3 Greensborough Cemetery. Johann George Bonzak arrived at Port Phillip on December 19th 1849, from Germany. Mary Bonzak, of German birth, applied for a Certificate of Naturalization in Eltham on 13th April 1905. She had 10 children (4 boys and 6 daughters) . Her sister (maybe) Sarah Jane Bonsak (1881-1978) married George Arthur Iredale in 1908. A Bonzak Family lived near the Partington Family of Willis Vale.Greensborough Cemetery was created when land was given for the cemetery by Mr William Poulter, a local settler, about 1864. The town borrows its name from the Koroitch Gundidj people who occupied the area prior to European settlement. The Society conducted a heritage excursion "Eltham War Memorials Walk" on Saturday, May 7, 2016 in conjunction with the centenary commemorations of the First World War. In 2016 the Welcome to Eltham community project started to welcome Syrian refugees into the community and made Welcome Butterflies to say welcome to them. This book includes photos and welcome messages from local residents. The butterlies are based on the Eltham Copper Butterfly, a rare and precious species local to the area and considered a symbol of the beauty and abundance of Eltham that the community wanted to share with the new community.
