Has some 20 areas where information on the requisition could be recorded - on the rear sheet is provision for extending the cost of the job and accounting information. The off white sheet has been by the SEC Ballarat track gang to record their daily work, welding, track cleaning, etc for the period 1-8-1950 to 12-2-1951. Metal based match box holder, formed from tin plated steel sheet, folded around all edges to include a printed plastic cover marked "Souvenir of Wattle Park, Melbourne Vic.", including on the sides an image of the Chalet and on reverse, contact phone number (WX1322), and what the venue would cater for. Has a note that is was open on Sundays and Holidays as well. Not known when made or used or who by. Phone numbers with alphanumeric numbers phased out during the late 1950's. Letter to all employees, dated 5/4/1950, signed by Robert Risson, Chairman, about the strike now in its 6th week, noting it is a strike against the Arbitration Court, arguments of the Tramway Employees Association, and asking employees to consider to terminate the dispute given the length of the strike. Letter has been printed on a foolscap MMTB headed sheet with a typewriter style font and a printed signature font. Typed on a watermarked bond paper - "Satisfaca Bond". To obtain one of these spoons a customer had to purchase a Rolex watch from a Bucherer store. They were not sold separately. This drum comes from the group which is now called " Warrnambool & District Pipes & Drums". As the Warrnambool Pipe Band it was formed in 1906 and today its aim is to foster a taste for bagpipe music. A separate Ladies' Band was set up in 1950 and combined with the Mens' Band in 1974. The Warrnambool & District Pipes & Drums is held in high regard nationally.This drum is a memento of an important musical group in WarrnamboolThis is a large, circular drum for a pipe band. The outside centre is skin surrounded by wooden rings, one of which is painted black. Between the rings is a cream and black mottled pattern on a curved piece made of composite material. There are eight silver tuning rods equally spaced along the side. One of these has two pieces of red tape attached. James Andrew Kangaroo Ground, 1870 "James Andrew, Whittlesea, born in East Palford, Devonshire, England, in 1827, arrived in Adelaide in February 1850 per ship Lady McCaughton and almost immediately sailed in a coasting vessel to Melbourne, where the first work he undertook was clearing earth from a stone quarry in Collingwood. He next carried stones for masons engaged in building the Bishop’s Palace, and then was employed in Cambellfield mowing hay. He was at Saltwater River on Black Thursday, and afterwards took a little farm at Darebin Creek, remaining there for four years. He went up to Kangaroo Ground in 1859 and lived there until he bought his present property at Whittlesea, a farm of between 300 and 400 acres. He has been twice married, and had a family of six children." "Andrew, W. B. Eltham, is a native of England, born in 1822. Coming out to Australia in 1842, he lived in Brighton, Victoria for fifteen years, when he re-visited England for a year. Returning to Victoria fourteen or fifteen years ago, he commenced storekeeping at Eltham, where he has carried on that business ever since.
