An olive green band with two button holes is attached to the inner lower band. The jacket has a fabric belt across the front, with a buckle. Two rectangular pockets extend beneath the lapels. Inside of jacket has a sewn on, rectangular identification label, and size label. Jacket has four buttons down side front, and one near lapel. Geelong Cycling Veterans Club was formed in 1971 but GWCC still conducted veteran races within the club. These medals appear to be remnants of awards not collected. Medals have always been awarded in recognition of achievement in competitive events. Even after 20+ years of veteran racing, the club still conducted veteran races which seems to indicate a large number older members were affiliated with the club.6 x Medals - one in gold metal conglomerate, three in bronze metal conglomerate, two in silver metal conglomerate. The front of the medals depict an olive wreath around the circumference, and has a racing cyclist painted on an enamel disk in the centre. One of a collection of over 400 photographs in an album commenced in 1960 and presented to the Phillip Island & Westernport Historical Society by the Shire of Phillip Island D. McLardy was born on Phillip Island in 1909. He was never beaten for the Australian National 110 metres hurdles. An official error prevented him from representing Australia at the Los Angeles Olympics. He won the Victorian championships five years in succession. He was trained by K. G. Mrs June Hoffman of Mount Beauty recently donated this beautiful picture. It is the original artist impression of the Snowman outside Snowlands. The Snowman was constructed in the 70's after Mr S K Pearce commissioned Polish artist/sculptor Andy Lomini. Mr Lomini is well known for his oil paintings but also created the Big Trout in Jindabyne, one of the 150 'big' things in Australia. The Snowman was carted into Falls Creek in 3 pieces on the back of a truck.This item is significant because it is the artist's impression of a major artwork commissioned for Falls Creek.A photo of the original artist's impression for a statue of a snowman which is located in Falls Creek. This concern may have been a subsidiary of Howard Smith Ltd, at least held some connection. Powered by a triple expansion engine producing 97 horsepower and of 2 single ended boilers, coal fired. Employed on the Western districts of Victora - Melbourne in passenger-cargo capacity. World War 1 disrupted trade and she spent much time 'laid up'. 1920 owned by Australian Steamships Pty Ltd (Howard Smith). 1928 again laid up, 1934 sold to Young & Co., Sydney who probably acted as agents for Asian interests when she was renamed Mow Li No. 2 in 1934-5. Set of four brass cast, chrome plated, machined, device or ticket punches used to cancel or punch paper tickets when purchased. Placed a hole in the ticket. Spring loaded, consists of two main parts with a pin & spring in addition. . Some of the chrome plating has been worn off. There are no manufacturer markings on the punches. .1 - number P1554 - punches a four pointed hole - would have been used at Preston Depot. .2 - number 1079, punches a hole in the shape of a club as on a card game. .3 - number 1113, punches a four pointed hole. .4 - number 190, punches a heart shaped hole. Trophies were awarded to recognise achievements in many areas of the school curriculum. Sir Kenneth George Luke (1896-1971) was a successful businessman and VFL football administrator. K.G.Luke was a private mint that made 1956 Olympic Games medals for the Numismatic Association of Victoria. It operated between 1937 and 1974.
