Negative Nos. N393 and N394 and black and white print made by a laser printer (stored in folder) of Bendigo tram No. 6 at Golden Square terminus. Tram has the destination of Golden Square. Has the Golden Square hotel in the background and an Age advertisement on the dash panel. Note the large overhead pan at the terminus. .1 - tram has arrived and the driver/conductor has place the pole on the overhead after turning the pole. .2 - Driver/conductor standing by front of tram. Date of photo on folder - 26/9/1962?? or 1 Jan 1963. A date on the front of the folder of 1/12/1959 is too early - tram has been painted with tiger stripes and fitted with dash canopy lighting. Same date on Ballarat folders as well - see negative number N392 etc. Crew member wearing a great coat - unusual for Bendigo on a new years day. Photo early 1960's. Sixteen page book with brown paper covers in addition. Pages printed on art paper with a red overprint on some pages. Titled "Nachod Signals", published by the Nachod and United States Signal Co. Inc, successors to Nachod Signal Co of Louisville Kentucky. Has a list of dates on page 2, of patents, the last being 5/2/1918. Has on the bottom of most pages "Nachod Spells Safety" Details the Nachod signals system, type CD with the details of the operation, elements of the system, signal layout, installation and wiring, trolley Contactors, signal aspects, relays, assembly on poles, ordering information, fuses, special designs and modifications, information in ordering, quantity and list of material, and specification details of the Type P on the last three pages. Demonstrates the Museums phasing out of tickets priced for the actual fare and conversion to a universal ticket that does not have to be changed for a fare increase and in this case, over stamped 5c tickets. Note: Was supposed to have been printed on off white paper and with an orange fare instead of red.Block of 100 tickets, 1d, Ballarat Vintage Tramway, A00001 to A000100. Printed on white paper, dark red ink with the "1D" and A prefix and ticket number in black ink. Issued commencing 1 January 2011, to replace the 5c over stamped check ticket. The tram has arrived at the terminus, the trolley pole has been turned, but the headlights and dash canopy lights have yet to be turned. Tram has the destination of Quarry Hill. Melbourne Bitter advertisement on the hotel. A number of soft top cars parked in the street. Photo probably from a postcard, has the words "T. Geelong. No. 8" along part of the bottom edge. Demonstrates aspects of the development of the Bendigo tramways by ESCo prior to undertaking the Ballarat system. Yields information about Charing Cross soon after the electric tramway was opened.Black and White postcard, early 1900's view of Charing Cross, Bendigo looking towards the north, Pall Mall. Has three tram cars in the view, the fountain, centre poles, horse drawn cabs and vehicles, a poppet head and building on the east side of the Pall Mall.
