Gaiters fasten around leg by way of nine hooks which fit into metal eyelets; a strip of canvas runs under the foot and is buckled on the other side. Print black and white in wooden frame, at bottom of print the words in large font "SAVING AMIENS" / " A brilliant Bayonet Charge by the 9th Australian Brigade" Ornately carved wooden frame with Gold inlay on the inner edge closest to the glass with off white mounting board. The print appears to sit loosely in the frame. The picture is signed by F. Mantania in the bottom left corner and on the picture mounting board "by F. Mantania, R. Memorabilia - Ashtray, 1918/19
An ashtray made from a 85 mm artillery shell, inside the ashtray there is a small arms cartridge firmly embedded in the internal primer housing/ the shell has been cut to a height of 40 mm and the rim has been scalloped/ the base diameter is 85 mm/ the item does not sit flat because a small arm cartridge has been firmly wedged into the external primer housing and is not flush to the surface, it protrudes about 5mm out of the base.On the base in stamped or engraved "5 - DE - C (believed to be the lot number of the casing; F - R - E 99 16 X" around the external surface is engraved ''FRANCE - AUDRUICQ" and the side are further decorated with engraved flowers -

Decorative object - Brass Cuckoo Clock without movement, 1914/19
Item presumed bought in France by 5848 Pte Bristow 6 - LOND - R whilst on war like duties in france during WWIA brass Cuckoo clock housing without the movement. The housing in mounted on a wooden plinth with a .303 (innocuous) cartridges use a decorative columns on each side of the house/ a round opening for the face of the clock / ornate fascia resembling that on a Swiss Mountain Cottage/ on the back is a metal door with broken hingesOn the fascia is engraved the the words "SOUVENIR & FRANCE" / at the apex of the fascia is engraved "19914 - 1919" / on the front panel each side of the clock hole are engraved for-get-me-not flowers and the etched with shape resembling roof slates. miliataria
