The crest was painted by Gus's granddaughter, Clare Gervasoni, for his 80th birthday. This bottle of castor oil was used during the mid to late 1900's when there was a Hospital in the Kiewa Valley, but regarded as only for serious injuries and near death situation. For this reason many households had a "first aid" box full of items such as this bottle of castor oil. Home based remedies for non life threatening injuries and illnesses were a part of life in a semi remote rural region. True and trusted family "health" remedies were passed from generation to generation.This Castor Oil bottle is very significant to the Kiewa Valley as it demonstrates the self reliance of the early farming and grazing pioneer families. Knowledge of "first aid" was uppermost to the survival of families before the late 1900's. Naturopathic remedies such as connected with the castor oil contained in this bottle, although may not be sanctioned by medical research, does not take into account of the positive "self healing" of the human mind (if you think it is doing you good it creates a positive action). Such preservation techniques were handed down through the generations.Medical Reference material was limited to books available and read and not not from "the internet" in the latter part of the 1900's. The availability of General Practitioners increased because of the boost in the population growth (SEC Vic Hydro Electricity Scheme) in the Kiewa Valley from 1940's onward. Three early to mid 20th century baby's nighties, purported to have been worn by Nesta Drew nee Cooper. The Cooper family lived in Tawonga for three generations.The nighties were hand-made in the 1920s when clothing was usually hand made especially in the Kiewa Valley where access to shops was limited. Francis (Frank) Wilbur Le Page was mayor of Moorabbin between 1980 - 1981, and again in 1984 - 1985. He was a lifelong resident of the region and also a third generation market gardener.In approximately 1854, Nicholas Le Page moved his family from Prahran to Cheltenham. Two years earlier, they had arrived in Melbourne from Guernsey Island. Nicholas Le Page was a tailor and his wife was a dressmaker. They decided to move into market gardening instead. Their son, Everest, married Lynda and Francis Wilbur Le Page was born in 1919. He attended Cheltenham State School where he completed his Merit Certificate in grade eight before studying bookkeeping, shorthand and typing at Bradshaw and Everett Business College in South Melbourne. Both Frank’s grandfather and father were active in local government. Francis Thomas Le Page was a councillor for 25 years and served a term as shire president in 1902. Everest, his son, was a councillor for the City of Moorabbin for 28 years and was mayor on two occasions. Frank also served two terms as mayor, first in 1980 and again in 1984. From a family who had three generations of family that worked for Dennys Lascelles. This is an auction catalogue for the Holly Green estate, 'Victoria's Oldest Homestead', which was to be auctioned through Dennys Lascelles Limited.2 pages folded white booklet with black text and coloured photos. Front cover describes the auction specifics for Holly Green estate and shows a green field with a homestead in the background. The middle two pages both feature colour photos with text describing the property. There is a yellow border line running horizontally across the bottom of the pages. The back cover lists several dot points and the selling agents at the bottom.

Their head office was in Moorabool St, which is now Westfield.Off-white two page paper document. Front cover has a list of the staff responsible for compiling the report. Middle two pages have an overview of the report and a series of numbers describing the finances of the company. Back cover has a short paragraph about the document.

Housed in an 1859 building, the Faram family took over the premises in 1919. After three generations serving the people of Port Melbourne, this family business closed its doors for the last time in January 2007.
