Some doubt about whether this is a photograph of an Old Lintonians' Association reunion. An identical photograph in the collection (Registration no. 242) is said to be of the Methodist Church jubilee celebration in 1910.(OLA reunions did not start until 1914.) This photograph was owned by George Preston, the apprentice printing worker shown third from the left in the photograph. The photograph was given to the Society by his son Ronald Preston. The printing works site was in Sussex Street, Linton, understood to have been next to the Railway Hotel. The photograph is believed to have been taken around 1895 or 1896, when George Preston was thirteen.
