Demonstrates an item that all SEC Ballarat tram crews carried, a simple key to open/close the doors and has a strong association with a SEC Ballarat tram crew member.T-shaped steel piece, fashioned from rod and welded at the top, with a round top piece or handle with a rod that has been ground to give a tapered square shape for use in external doors on SECV Ballarat Trams - known as a square key. Containing a colour copy photograph of Conductor Archie Viccars, leaning out of a bogie tram. He has cap number 2 with the conductor's bag slung over his shoulder. The donor noted that Archie worked as a Trammie from the 50's to the 60's when he transferred to the Ripon St offices on clerical duties. Has the word "Suggestions" in large Red capital letters, a large tray or box for receiving the suggestions (not too sure how you got them out without undoing the sign and shaking the items - if any - out) and an area for an instruction to be displayed.
