Newspaper clipping from the Courier dated 5/6/1981, mounted on a sheet of an A4 sheet of scrap paper from a Vic Government department titled "...mall contented". Article notes the official opening of the Bridge St Mall on that date, Footscray Mall being the only comparable while Melbourne is "dithering" over Burke St. Mall. Set of 9 colour laser printed images of a Bendigo Tramways (SEC), ticket manual or ticket instruction sheets issued by the SEC c1937. Details the methodology of the ticketing system. Original sheets in poor order forwarded to Bendigo Tramways June 2005, contained within Zetta Florence foolscap size polypropylene enclosures, along with a set of the colour laser prints. All tickets printed in black ink, and the word "cancelled" written across the face of the ticket in red ink unless noted otherwise. Sheet 1 - not received at time of donation. Gives details of 38 tables or runs, numbered from 1 Run to 38 Run. Each sheet headed "Weekday", three runs per sheet. Saturdays - 1 to 34, Sunday - 1 to 10. Each sheet has in the top right hand corner LJD/3/70. Time table operated until the commencement of closure of the system. Negative Nos. N393 and N394 and black and white print made by a laser printer (stored in folder) of Bendigo tram No. 6 at Golden Square terminus. Tram has the destination of Golden Square. Has the Golden Square hotel in the background and an Age advertisement on the dash panel. Note the large overhead pan at the terminus. .1 - tram has arrived and the driver/conductor has place the pole on the overhead after turning the pole. .2 - Driver/conductor standing by front of tram. Date of photo on folder - 26/9/1962?? or 1 Jan 1963. A date on the front of the folder of 1/12/1959 is too early - tram has been painted with tiger stripes and fitted with dash canopy lighting.
