The ring was the property of Valerie Dale who attended CPLC in the 1930's. It was donated to the school by her daughter in 2012. The ring is the first of its type to be returned to the school. The ring was accompanied with Valerie's school hatband and a blank school-produced Christmas card. Historical significance to the school because it is the only example of its type. Kew Tapestry The eight panels depict the history of Kew. This was a 1988 Australian Bi-Centennial Project carried out under the auspices of City of Kew Council and the Kew Historical Society Incorporated. Nearly 600 citizens including many children participated in the production by adding a few or more stitches. A book records their names and the panels upon which they worked. She studied at Swinburne Technical College Art School from 1941-1945, then the National Gallery Art School 1946-1948. A very marked and damaged brown fabric covered book with the faded title The Twins of Emu Plains printed on the front cover with twin girls sitting on a window seat reading a letter. The back cover has dried mould at the bottom and also inside at the back on some pages. The inside front and back of the spine is showing signs of breaking away from the covers. There are a few illustrated black and white plates.
