Telephone Switchboard
Known to have been in use in 1909, when there were sixteen subscribers. Decommissioned in 1968.With a timber polished frame with 20 incoming lines, a clock timer and glass fronted notice board on top with various operator instructions this stands nearly two meters tall. Indicators, patch leads and sockets are in left and right banks, with the call/speak toggles in front of them. A small timer to the right is turned on or off when required. -

The Anti-moth crystals were sold with the Electrolux Vacuum, along with the many other attachments, including the vaporiser. The crystals were made of paradichlorobenzene which is used in mothballs. Electrolux, founded in Sweden, has been manufacturing vacuum cleaners since 1919. On the back of the tin - 'Poisonous - Not to be taken - Electrolux Pty. Ltd., Melbourne - When used in conjunction with the vaporiser supplied with the Electrolux cleaner in this tin, Electrolux anti-moth crystals will destroy moths and moth larvae and are also effective against silverfish and other similar pests. Crystals or vapour will not harm fabrics in any way. Keep tin in cool place. - Kills Moths'A small empty vintage red, white and blue round lidded tin, 'Electrolux Anti-Moth Crystals'. Issued to Service Personal whilst on active service to render first aid if required.Unopened rectangle packet covered in off-white cotton (or similar) containing a bandage and gauze pad. The front of the package is printed with an inscription identifying it as a 'First Field Dressing' along with a list of contents and instructions for use in blue writing. Text crossed with diagonal red arrow from bottom right hand side pointing to top left corner. FIRST FIELD DRESSING Tear apart the uncemented corner as indicated by the arrow and remove the paper. Take the folded ends of the bandage in each hand, and, keeping the bandage taut, apply the gauze pad to the wound and fix the bandage. In case of head wounds when respirators have to be worn, care should be taken to adjust the pad so that it does not interfere with the fit of the face piece.
