Under the crown and within the wreath is a scorpion aligned with it's head and claws at the bottom of the badge. McLean was minister), he was known as the ''Man from Oodnadatta'' re this Australian Inland Mission work, he was at some stage President of the Bendigo Competitions and on the committee.
