The brooch belonged to the donor's grandmother Lucy Stafford, who was born in 1878Gilt metal brooch, has two flowers, a bud and two leaves. The flowers are pale pink with a mauve glass centre. Fan was made for Mary Jane Schroder for her marriage to Ralph Pardy Rudd on 24th Nov 1886 in Ceylon. Later carried by three family members at weddings during 1941 by Mrs Kathleen Hubbert then Mrs Mary Barry in 1947 and finally by Sharlene Barry, now Mrs Ron Draeger.1886 bamboo fan mounted with white feathers. Spray of artificial flowers and cream satin ribbon tied in bows and wound round the bamboo handle. Back of fan has circle of boa to conceal joins of white feathers.
