Dr. Neumann came from Germany to take a position as lecturer at Sydney University c. 1937, until interned in 1939. The Australian Tesselated Tile Co. began in Mitcham, south of the Railway Station, in 1886. It almost collapsed after the bursting of the land boom in 1890s, then recovered to become one of the world's greatest tile works. Shell dressings were carried by individual soldiers, intended to be used as a first dressing in event of wounding or injury. Each cloth pack contains dressings comprised of a gauze pad stitched to a bandage and a safety pin. The field dressing was often the first line of treatment and was intended to be applied by the wounded man himself or other soldiers.This dressing is significant as a representative object carried by every soldier in WWII.Bandage covered in light brown cotton casing. The Charge at Beersheba is said to be one of the last Cavalry Charges in military history. A key point in Australian history during WW1.Brass Bugle stamped on the top " Australian Light Horse Charge at Beersheba October 31st 1917".As above. Information stamped onto the bugle could have been added at a later date.

Before the Shire of Bulla built permanent offices in Macedon Street, the council used to meet in the Memorial Hall and had rooms there to conduct regular business. Some cottages were demolished to build the new offices which were completed and opened in 1966. Over the years as the shire's population increased, further additions were added.
