Mr and Mrs Gary Partington outside the Greensborough Methodist Church in October 1964. Background is Uncle Bill Leed and Jessie Scholes. Miss Jean Partington (1903-1992) was Headmistress at Preston Girls’ School. She lived in the family home at 25 Hailes Street until it was demolished for Greensborough Plaza. Her ashes were spread at the old oak tree, next to the railway line, opposite her old home site which in 2017 is the site of the McDonald's franchise in the Greensborough Plaza car park.Digital copy of black and white studio photograph.jean partington

In 2013, Gary Partington generously donated farm implements to Greensborough Historical Society. These implements had been used at the family property "Willis Vale" up to the 1960s. From June 2013 until December 2016 these implements were sited in the front garden at the GHS Resource Centre. Unfortunately, the plough, shoe last and kitchen kettle were stolen in December 2016. Alan Partington with James W. Medhurst. Jim Medhurst, born 1900 at Greensborough. A tall boy at age 15 he was asked why he was not fighting in the war. As a result he went to Sydney, put his age up and changed his name to McPhee. He returned from the war and joined the police. He later worked for Melbourne City Council.
