Alan Partington with James W. Medhurst. Jim Medhurst, born 1900 at Greensborough. A tall boy at age 15 he was asked why he was not fighting in the war. As a result he went to Sydney, put his age up and changed his name to McPhee. He returned from the war and joined the police. He later worked for Melbourne City Council. Married to Olive Eddy, they had 3 children and lived in Warwick Road Greensborough.
Significance
Pioneer Greensborough families, the Partingtons were related through the marriage of Annie May Medhurst and William Partington.
