Souvenir - Teaspoon, Perfection Plate, BTPS Teaspoon - tram 27, late 1980's early 1990's
Souvenir Teaspoon featuring Ballarat tram No. 27 in an oval inset at the top of the tea spoon, contained within a plastic case. The teaspoon made by Perfection Plate, of the Celest style or type. The case has yellow plastic base, with clear top with the words "Celest by Perfection" On the rear of the case is the wording "Perfection". The teaspoon is silver plated, with the tram in a picture about 23mm long. The teaspoon is marked "Celest" on the rear. Tea spoon is 120mm long x 25mm wide. The scrapbook has added social and spiritual significance as it provides a key resource for profiling often unknown women in women's community organisations during the 1980s in Kew and Victoria. The scrapbook was deposited with the Kew Historical Society for safekeeping. It is complete and comprehensive allowing for interpretation.A scrapbook, compiled by members of the Lioness Club of Kew containing photographs and typed profiles of members dating from 1982-7. The profiles were added at monthly intervals under a heading "Lioness of the Month". The scrapbook also contains some annual reports and president's reports. At the back of the scrapbook are two newspaper cuttings (The Free Press, March 19, 1980), profiling the new president, Mrs Helen Joyce, and the Club. A set of five forms prepared at the conductor's Training School during July 1980 to show trainees the forms and how they were to be filled in. "Application for ticket refund" - single sheet with two cancelled 60c tickets stapled onto the set of forms "Supplementary Running Journal" single sheet "Conductor's Pay In slip" - single sheet "Conductor's Running Journal" - single sheet "Weekly Record of Conductor's Ticket Outfit" - single sheet Forms have been filled in with pencil and made out for Carolyn Dean, No. 3804 and Malvern Depot. Poster, paper mounted or glued to cardboard sheet for use in tramcars - titled "M&MTB - Sections and Fares" giving details of fares for each section, location of sections for all routes, including via William St. Notes prepayment of fares, children fares, passengers luggage including baby carriages, golf buggies and shopping pushers. Dated September 1979. Printed by Standard Commercial Printers, Cheltenham. Two copies held. .2 - ditto but with a paper addition dated August 1980 glued over the fares etc. Has been used.
