Slide - set of 4 - 35mm - Kodachrome cardboard mounts. .1 - Tram 808 at the Spencer St stop at the corner of Bourke St with Spencer St Station in the background. Note the route and destination - at the time when North Balwyn and Burwood Routes were combined on Sundays am and evening - and passengers changed at Hawthorn Bridge. Route 74. Has a Fosters Lager advertisement. .2 - As above, tram approaching the stop with the Spencer St station car park in the background. .3 - tram 1005 leaving the Bourke St terminus, taken after .4 .4 - tram 1005 at the Bourke St terminus with tram 838 crossing in the background, has the Station building, Carlyon's Hotel and the Tramways Building. Has been photocopied onto A4 sheets - and published as a supplement to E.T 6/83. Has a stamp of the Road Construction Authority of 25 august 1983 Library on the front sheet. 2nd copy added from donation of Norm Cross. 1519.1 - 12 A4 sheets, were stapled in top left hand corner, titled "Workshops and Running sheds Branch - Allocation of Tramcars 4-4-1983". Colour - yellow and black - postcard - punched to enable the card to be folded and feature the Rhino standing up, with the words "Beware the Rhino", underneath. On the rear has a place for the stamp, address and the message "Beware: a tram weigh as much as 30 rhinos". Notes it is a ecological friendly card. Produced by Avant Card for Yarra Trams. Manual - approx. 115 A4 pages with card board manilla covers white comb bound with a yellow plastic front cover. Titled "MetRail Passenger Fares and Conditions". At about the 1/.3 point has another card cover titled "Summary of "A" Circulars issued in reference to the Metropolitan Transit Authority tickets introduced after 13-11-83. Issued late 1983, prepared by Ian Yarde of the MetRail Projects Officer for use at Stations by Booking and Ticket Checking staff. Has a note on the second page about the introduction of the new fare system for Neighbourhood tickets, rail, tram and private buses - signed by L. A. Strouse Managing Director, dated 13/11/1983. Has an index to the type of tickets. The second parts includes an index, gives changes up to early 1985, including the Bundoora tram extension.In the top right hand corner in red ink "VR - 20" and in blue ink "Group 74". Report - 26 pages, printed, contained and stapled within a grey "Roneo Numeralpha System" folder, titled "Report on Traffic Congestion", containing a Victorian Parliamentary Report, dated 1919 with titled "Report of Board appointed to investigate the problem of relieving congestion of traffic in Melbourne." Full title "Report of Board Appointed to Investigate the problem of Relieving Congestion of Traffic in Melbourne" The Board or "Traffic Board" comprised 5 representatives of Councils, MMTB, Railways and the Public Works Department includes comments on growth of Melbourne, railways, tramways, new arterial roads, subways, new bridge at Spencer St, regulation of street traffic, looks at new tramway routes, hours works and provides a summary of recommendations including drawings for new arterial roads, graphs and roads / tramway layouts in two chain wide roads.
