The photos taken at one of the earlier Ithacan Society's picnics. The young boys in the photograph were lining up for the start of a race. The race program was a feature of the day and all the picnic attendees would gather to watch the events.The annual picnic was and still is a popular event amongst members of the Ithacan Philanthropic Society.A sepia photograph in a brown folder of eleven boys lined up to begin a race. Back to Warrnambool celebrations were an important event on the social calendar and were run over a number of years in the town. This program is one glimpse into the city and its people in 1930.
