Historical information

The photos taken at one of the earlier Ithacan Society's picnics. The young boys in the photograph were lining up for the start of a race. The race program was a feature of the day and all the picnic attendees would gather to watch the events.

Significance

The annual picnic was and still is a popular event amongst members of the Ithacan Philanthropic Society.
