This collection of family history relates to the Rolfs family Val Wilson (nee Rolfs) is a member of GHS and presented her research "Finding Henry" to a Society meeting. Also included is a family tree listing the descendants of Henry Rolfs and Val's own memories of growing up in Greensborough.Mrs Wilson traces her family on the paternal side to find Henry Rolfs, a German sailor who 'jumped ship' in Australia. A Melbourne Leader article about the tree was dated 9/4/1910 and this photo appeared therein. Johannes Bosch came to Australia in 1884 aged 17. He married Henrietta Duck, had 3 children and divorced in 1903. The Beale family arrived in Port Phillip in 1839 and c.1841 established an estate named "St Helena" to the north of Melbourne. Katherine is buried in the St Katherine's Anglican Church Cemetery in Greensborough. St Katherine's Anglican Church, also known as the “Rose Chapel” is located at St Helena (Greensborough). Originally the private chapel of the Beale family, the Rose Chapel was named after Major Anthony Beale's wife Katherine Rose.
