David Kinnane was the leader of a Victorian Railways First Aid team that won many state and interstate competitions. Other members of the team were: Geoffrey Storey and Joe Deveson. The older lady in the photograph is Ioulia Raftopoulos nee Sicotis. She was born in Ithaca on 26 October1896 and migrated to Australia from South Africa in 1925. Her husband was George Raftopoulos and they had two daughters, Effie and Aspasia. Ioulia died in March 1990.
