Ltd. was a North American jewellery company that was established in 1949 by the Stuart family as part of Emmons Jewelry, Inc. It began operations in England and Australia in 1968, and in Australia it moved from Carlton in Melbourne to Wodonga in 1969. The premises were originally on High Street in Wodonga, but a new warehouse was built in Melbourne Road later in 1969. It was a direct selling jewellery business using a party-plan model similar to Tupperware and Avon. The sales reps or 'Hostesses' were provided with jewellery samples in demonstration kits, which they displayed at jewellery parties in their homes. The designs for jewellery such as brooches, necklaces, earrings, chokers and bracelets were purchased from freelance designers and jewellery manufacturers rather than in-house designers. In 1979 Sarah Coventry Pty. Ltd. in Wodonga was bought by three Australian businessmen, including Wodonga local Jim Sawyer, and continued to sell jewellery under the name "Sargem Pty. Ltd”, for several more years in the 1980s. As part of the Sarah Coventry collection, the pin has local significance with the decentralised commercial development of regional centres such as Wodonga in NE Victoria, as well as national and international significance from the perspective of social and economic developments for women after World War II. The direct selling party-plan business model Sarah Coventry was based on is also considered the first of its kind for jewellery.Small rectangular gold metal pin for five years service with a faceted pink stone inlay on the proper left side, the name and initials of Sarah Coventry in the central area and three flowers on the proper right side. The 10 K stamp on the back surface suggests it is made of 10 karat gold. Abraded areas on the high points of the clasp on the back surface expose underlying silver coloured metal indicating that the clasp is plated."Sarah / SC / 5 YRS / Coventry" on the front surface. "® cTo / 10 K" stamped into the back surface on the lower proper left side, indicating 10 karat gold. The (®) symbol indicates that the manufacturer's mark is federally registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office. The 'cTo' is the trademark by O. C. An appeal was made by seven submissions. • Albion and Ardeer Community Club (Neil Head), who did not support the Recommendation and requested that a hearing be held • Sunshine and Districts Historical Society (John Pardy), who did not support the Recommendation and wished to participate in any hearing • Sunshine and Districts Historical Society (Olwen Ford), who did not support the Recommendation and requested that a hearing be held • Harwood Andrews Lawyers, on behalf of the Brimbank City Council, who did not support the Recommendation and requested that a hearing be held • Royal Historical Society of Victoria, who did not support the Recommendation and wished to participate in any hearing • Lesley Preston, who did not support the Recommendation and wished to participate in any hearing. After considering the Executive Director’s recommendation and all submissions received, and after conducting a hearing, the Heritage Council has determined, pursuant to section 49(1)(a) of the Heritage Act 2017, that the Former Sunshine Technical College located at 111 and 129–133 Derby Road, Sunshine, Brimbank City is of State-level cultural heritage significance and is to be included in the Victorian Heritage Register in the category of Registered Place. The Heritage Council has determined to include as the extent of registration the area that was the subject of a nomination accepted by the Executive Director, and has determined, pursuant to section 49(3) of the Heritage Act 2017, to include categories of works or activities which may be carried out in relation to the place, for which a permit is not required (permit exemptions). The significance of this successful appeal was a major win for local heritage advocates (including the Sunshine & District Historical Society, RHSV, and Brimbank Council), who argued that the school’s story is inseparable from Sunshine’s identity. As the site had been under threat, with earlier proposals to demolish the buildings, this determination now gives the site strong legal protection. Developers and government agencies must now work within the heritage permit system, ensuring conservation of key buildings.Heritage Council Victoria Heritage Council Regulatory Committee Former Sunshine Technical College (H2458) 111 and 129–133 Derby Road, Sunshine, Brimbank City, Wurundjeri Country Hearing – 21 and 22 October 2024 Members – Dr Ursula de Jong (Chair), Ms Anna Foley, Dr Janine Majorsunshine technical school, sunshine technical college, sunshine secondary college -

In 1914 John Stewart & Co. owned ten sailing vessels, one of which was the Monkbarns, but by the end of the first World War, the fleet had only four vessels survived the war, including the Monkbarns. The Monkbarns traded across the world. Some of the destinations included Port Adelaide, Table Bay in South Africa, Liverpool, Sydney, London and New York. Her last commercial voyage was in 1926. Ltd. was a North American jewellery company that was established in 1949 by the Stuart family as part of Emmons Jewelry, Inc. The direct selling party-plan business model Sarah Coventry was based on is also considered the first of its kind for jewellery.Small rectangular gold metal pin with a faceted pink stone inlay on the proper left side and a faceted clear stone on the proper right side. Two raised flower motifs on the proper right side. The 10k stamped on the back surface suggests it is made of 10 karat gold. The abraded areas on the clasp on the back expose underlying silver coloured metal indicating that the clasp is plated."Sarah / SC / 10 YRS / Coventry" raised inscription on the front surface. "® cTo / 10 K" stamped on the lower proper left side of the back surface, indicating 10 karat gold.
