Fare board panel from Melbourne Cable tram saloon, from the inside or internal framing panels around a door. Made from soft wood, cut and assembled with wood screws, glued and then varnished. Part or panel that fitted over the end saloon window - fitted with hinges to allow access to the saloon door slide mechanism. Internal part of this part has a light colour finish on the rear. Details names of SEC Commissioners, Minister in Charge of Electrical Undertakings. Copy has numerous changes marked in red ink internally and pasted in changes to the text. Has Government Printer number 6967. Given the printing number on Reg. Item 3108 is a higher number and that H. Green was the Government Printer for this book and in 1936 (See Reg. Item 3068), indicates a copy printed in 1937. A piece of paper has been pinned to the copy on page 23, giving details of where to relieve on the Sebastopol route. Written in red ink. Sign, painted onto a MMTB auxiliary destination board of the type that could hang on the front of a Melbourne tram car with the words "Minimum Fare 8d", white letters on black paint. The reverse side has had a number of paper signs glue to it. Not readable. Metal sign, fitted with metal hanging brackets, riveted to sign on both sides. Gives an understanding of the variety of special purpose tickets issued by the Electric Supply Company for use on the Provincial Tramways of Victoria.The Pensioner's Fare Concession Certificate is for the year 64-65. Printed on tan colored card, with black print. It notes Restrictions on the time of travel. The reverse gives additional information about the ticket, including the expiry date. There is a space for the ticket-holder's signature. The Hospital travel voucher is printed on white card with black ink. It is issued by the Electricity supply Department for use on Provincial Trams. The ticket is not transferable. This appears to be a sample and shows that the 2d ticket as shown can be altered in value to 3d,4d,5d,6d or 7d. The Pensioner's Fare Concession Certificate has the word "Cancelled" stamped in red ink across both face and back. The Hospital Travel Voucher has "Issued to Base hospitals Ben & Bal who issue to pensioners. Collected by SEC. Charged to Health Dept".
