Yields information about many transport tickets systems from around the world, including some SEC tickets. Has a strong association with Wal Jack.Diary, printed for 1934, two days per page - full bound and sewn in black Rexene with end papers (partly removed) with gold block title "Diary 1934" on front and "1934" on spine of book, stationary item, with a Nestle's product advertised on the bottom right hand pages. Fundraising badge produced to celebrate the 1919 peace. Many badges were produced at this time for popular causes. Such badges were sold in trams, buses, at railways stations and at rallies to raise money for the stated cause. This badge was produced to raise money for those affect by the war in the Geelong and District region. Badges were a popular fundraising option because of their affordable nature making them available to much of the public, while their design made them popular for collecting well into the future. Badge, circular. Pin back with celluloid cover. Printed in cream, gold and blue. The outer edge is in gold with blue lettering; the inner circle has a white dove holding an olive branch in its beak with lettering in blue below. Gold Medallion 8 stars, with a shield in the centre which has been engraved "E M". On the rear engraved "Presented to E Murphy as a token of esteem from fellow employees at Malvern Tramways". On base stamped "Catanach" with three jewellers Hallmarks. Possibly c1915. Presented to Australian Tramway & Motor Omnibus Employees Association (ATMOEA) members who were awarded Life Membership by the organisation. Appears to be unused.Demonstrates an ATMOEA life membership badge, that could be worn on a uniform or at a function.Badge on a brass/gold backing with painted enamel on the front. On the central portion of the badge, had the ATMOEA logo, with the words "Vic" with red enamel backing, and on the outer edge of the badge "Aust Tramway & Motor Omnibus Employees Association" with a royal blue background. On the bass of the badge is the word "Life Member" The back of the badge is fitted with a spring retaining clip. There are no manufacturer details. Badge - Set of two, ATMOEA Vic. Branch (Tramways Union), c1950
The Union commenced as the Australian Tramway Employees Association in 1910. Changed its name in 1934 to the "Aust Tramway & Motor Omnibus Employees Association" so as to incorporate bus drivers of motor omnibuses. Became part of the Rail Transport Bus Union in 1993. See reference. Union members were issued with badges to indicate their membership. They were permitted to be worn on their uniforms. Uniform - Badge, mid 1950's?
Stamped metal uniform badge for MMTB Inspectors. Tramways Board logo at top of badge in silver finish, the words "INSPECTOR" and the scroll outline in brass or gold colour. The area where the inspector's number has been painted on is in brass/gold finish. The number "5" has been painted on in royal blue colour. The enamel finish within the scroll work also finished in royal blue. On rear badge in brass/gold finish, with word "STOKES & SONS MELBOURNE" stamped into . Two metal rings have been soldered onto the rear of the badge and a spring steel clip provided to enable the badge to be clipped to a hat.\ Badge was used by the Donor as part of his work uniform. Metal lapel badge, gold finish with either a light or dark blue gloss enamel paint background around letters, for the "Malvern Tramways Football Club". Has bird standing on a branch as part of the badge. A metal insert which can be changed over to show the year of membership shows the year "54". Metal insert has two lugs on the rear which can be folded over. On the rear is a metal pin that can be put vertically through a jacket and the manufacturers name "K. Luke Melb".
