Battista Borsa was from Bellinzona in Ticino, Switzerland. He named his house on the corner of Main road and Seventh St in Hepburn Springs "Bellinzona". His daughters ran the house as a guest house in 1900. This house was burnt down in the 1906 Bushfire. it was rebuilt in Edwardian tradition, and was again burnt down and rebuilt on a much larger footprint. Laurie Sullivan lived in Hepburn Springs, except for service during World War Two. He was captured in Crete and aa prisoner of war under the German Army. The Hepburn Springs Progress Association invited Edna Walling the the Hepburn Springs Reserve, and sandstone paths and bridges resulted. In 1934 there was a proposal to spend 2,000 to 3,000 poinds at the Hepburn Springs Reserve, with a govenrment loan suggested.
