Paper sign titled "Ballarat Tramways Alteration to Time-Table" dated 16/3/1970 that has been mounted with a Perspex front onto a manufactured wooden board with a blackened edge and secured with steel mounting clips and a hanging bracket. Used to exhibit or show a SEC timetable alteration announcement or sign that from the given date, a new timetable would apply from that date for Week days and Saturdays. Signed by F.K. White, Manager and printed by Alex King & Sons Ballarat. Original sign is understood to be slightly larger than that mounted on the object. Mounting or securing clips on rear of the object are stamped "Swiss Made PAT" and the hanging bracket "EMO Swiss". 2nd copy of poster added 1/11/2005 - stored in box 01-01-01 - relocated to package with others. Also details when extra services are run and times as specific points along the route. Denis Gibbons (1937 – 2011) Trained with the Australian Army, before travelling to Vietnam in January 1966, Denis stayed with the 1st Australian Task Force in Nui Dat working as a photographer. For almost five years Gibbons toured with nine Australian infantry battalions, posting compelling war images from within many combat zones before being flown out in late November 1970 after sustaining injuries. The images held within the National Vietnam Veterans Museum make up the Gibbons Collection. Geoffrey (Geoff) Brooke was newspaper columnist, radio commentator, magazine writer and television broadcaster. He wrote a regular column for The Argus titled 'Your night out'. He opened his own restaurant, Geoff Brookes Steak Cave, in 1965. Later in his life he was a resident of Wellington Street, Kew. He died in 2003, aged 86. The Vandersluys-Kelly Collection of photographs, costumes and musical performance memorabilia was donated to the Kew Historical Society by Robin Denise Kelly in 2018. The collection is an important record of stage and recorded performances in Australia in the second half of the 20th century. This new nationally-focused and artistically significant collection augments and contextualises the local performing arts materials in our collection. This type of clock was used on the Port Melbourne bus route until its replacement by the Automatic Vehicle Monitoring system (AVM) to record the departure time of bus services from a specific point along the route. Possibly used at the terminus itself. Clock obtained by the Museum from the MMTB at the time of its replacement c1980. Conductors rather than drivers "Punched" the clock when this bus route was operated by half-cab buses. Was originally in a steel case when received. The Museum made the perspex insert in the front door to enable operation by a key c1985 when it was installed in the Museum's Mess Room. See item 9566 for a key that was used.Demonstrates a MMTB Cincinnati manufactured time recording clock. The MMTB also made their own.Cincinnati "bundy" clock comprising a pendulum operated clock upper section and a lower recording and printing section with a paper roll within a red painted wooden case.
