In 2003, a proposal for a 5 storey building on the corner of Lambourn and Devonshire Roads Watsonia for an apartment complex, medical centre, shops and cafe was approved by VCAT, despite strong opposition by local residents. The proposal did not proceed. In 2019 a proposal for a 2 storey medical centre, cafe and residence was approved for the site and construction commenced. Collection of 57 black and white photographs of bridge and roadworks around the South Gippsland Shire 1965-1969. Includes images of several public buildings. Locations include Inverloch, Dumbalk & Meeniyan. Photographs taken by the Country Roads Board photographer. Mounted on cream textured card. Several have captions affixed. Each photograph is stamped and numbered on the reverse with the negative number used by the CRB. A prefix of 65, 67 & 69 is noted as part of the negative number which relates to the year the image was taken.

Image shows a newspaper photo of the MMTB U Class Tram 203 on temporary track at east side of excavation for underpass in Epson Road Flemington with Racecourse railway line to eliminate level crossing. The road was often closed to all traffic, including trams on race days by the railways. Prior to 1939 access to the Island was by punt from San Remo or car ferry from Stony Point. A bridge was opened in 1940 but increased traffic and low load capacity was a problem. The decision to build a new bridge was made in the 1960s.HistoricalColoured, bound booklet with a photo of the old and new Phillip Island bridges on the cover and the CRB logo and name on rear.
