Black and white photograph of W2 488 east bound in Victoria Parade with the destination of Kew Post Office. The tram was built in Feb. 1928 and fitted with route number boxes in 4/1930. The Victoria Parade line was opened to electric trams on 15/9/1929, dating the photo to a short period of time, early 1930s. Printed postcard with a coloured image looking from the City Family Hotel over Charring Crossing and looking along Pall Mall. There are four tramcars in the view. Given the tram track colour, the photo was taken possibly soon after the opening the electric tramways in Bendigo in 1903. Newspaper clipping from The Courier, 31 July 2001, Eureka Column, page 3, written by David Ellery about a swan who paused in the middle of the tram track and held up the Museum tram service.
