Jean Parker SUTHERLAND (06 June 1902-July 1978 ) In 1923 Sutherland was awarded the National Gallery of Victoria's prestigious Travelling Scholarship. After four years training and exhibiting in London, Brittany and Rome, she returned to Victoria in 1927, exhibiting with the Melbourne Society of Women Painters for a number of years.
