Historical - well used - heavy metal. Inside strongly reinforced - lockable - fluted front handle. One smaller top section. Large bottom section .Ornamented front in central area. BRANX- comb springs in the locks. WAs commonly used as a bank safe & the railways used them in 1880's (from Chris Daniels) Originally green, handle is brass which would clean up.
Colour Poster with 2 copies. Has four photographs of army leaders Foch, Burwood, Monash and Haigh with a Roll of Honour of Servicemen from Beechworth and District with Beechworth businesses advertised. Chronology of First World War.
Label on back. - 19 Ford St, Beechworth. 057-28-1477. Exhibition only.
Decorative prayer surrounded by angels, oakleaf decorated cross, setting sun, Abraham. Painted dark timber frame with overhanging corners, glass front. Raw timber backing with wire hanging.
Brown grained leather - Animal hide. Metal attachments; one leather handle. 2x 90mm long metal straps- 15mm depth. Top opening. Bag folds in to middle . Central lock part broken & handle. Latch to fasten each end of metal trimming - broken. Fabric lining inside with cardboard backing - beige colour/ fair condition.

Wooden .Certificate : No 82, Est 15th Nov 1869. Red/black writing. White background. Signatures: McIvor, Pollard, Ricketts - Manchester Emblem. Buchan, Munro, Bell - Melbourne Emblem. Emblem: Two women (one with wines) on side of shield (beehive, lamb, wheat, eye, flowers, snake, sun, moon, stars). Coloured. Covered with glass. All housed within hinged doors of wood with locking mechanism.
Emblem : We will drink neither wine or strong drink.
Pair of black timber lockable doors which are hinged and open. Inside doors black frame with red stripe. Lettering gold on green background, 'PCR' above LH door. Outside - main cabinet area 61cm wide , 76cm long and 12cm deep. Top & bottom pieces approximately 70cm wide & 16cm deep at base. Extra fancy piece at top is broken & unattached.
Inside - dispensation certificate from the High Court with one eye depicted. Shield shape - wooden with silver shield inside . Musical motif/Irish harp/advance Stanley - extra pes. Cabinet hinged - lockable. Ornate scrolled top on wooden part of shield.

Edward Hulme - artist's early landscape of Stanley Village overlooking the plateau and hills. There are 3 miners in the foreground washing the gravel by a cradle with 2 tall eucalypts to the left. Outlying dwellings and a water-race also feature.

Exterior handles both sides.

Gold lettering on binding reads 'Minute Book'. Euchre Party dates and accounts 1960-1970 with some missing. Note: Back page to Deed for Athenaeum Grounds 18 February 1873.
