The Faram Bros purchased the building at 405 Bay St Port Melbourne in 1919 and added the verandah by 1920. Originally a correspondence record for the Warracknabeal Waterworks, this book was recycled for use as a visitors' register for the Missions to Seamen building, during the years the Mission Arts Centre occupied it (1987 - 1990). The Todisco family (Ferdinand, Edvige and son, Joseph) lived in the former Prince Arthur Hotel from around 1958 to 1981. They bought the building in the early 1960s from Mrs SCHUMACHER and ran it as a rooming house with a milk bar on the ground floor. They closed the milk bar in the early 1970s and sold the property in 1981.
