Unit - Catering Corps - Rank Private. This is a copper badge - Tri-Service, Australia. It's motif has an anchor, part of a Rising Sun Badge and spread bird wings. At the top centre is a Royal Crown. This is a standard issue, Australian Army Kit bag (referred to as a "Sausage Bag". It is made out of canvas, colour brown. It has numerous brass eyelets around the opening. Inside is a flap of similar canvas sewn to one side.On the base in white paint VX123648. The surname "Stevens" is blotted out by a 12 cm Square shipping label. It is partially destroyed. This is one pair of 1938 USA Pattern gaiters. They are made of canvas and have a webbing strap that goes under the boot. The buckle fitting is black painted steel. One edge of the gaiter has black printed etelets, the other edge has black metal hoops, There is a cotton bootlace tied to the gaiter. The colour is jungle green.
