.1 - Twenty page booklet on the history of the Brighton Electric Line by Leon Marshall-Wood, published 1956. Gives a brief history of the electric tramway operated by the Victorian Railways between St. Kilda Station and the Brighton Beach railway station, that commenced operation in 1905. The booklet was priced 2/-, published by the Traction Publications. Has 18 photographs, map 1905 and present day (when printed), rolling stock roster and notes and on the rear cover has details of the AETA. Front cover has horizontal crimson stripes. Has details of the AETA on the back cover and listing of some publications. Yields information about the relocation of the bogie trams from the old SEC depot to the new BTPS depot in the gardens and partly how it was done.Newspaper cutting from The Courier, Ballarat, titled "Trams roll again", Wednesday 19/7/1972 of tram 40 in Wendouree Parade behind John Withers Land Rover and tram 38 on the temporary access track the previous day, while being moved into the new depot. "Electric Tramway Rolling Stock of the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board", priced at $1, published by Traction Publications of P.O. Box 438, Canberra City in 1971, 3rd edition with a small corrigenda sheet. Describes Melbourne s tram car fleet. Includes brief description of each type, photographs and a summary history. Has many photographs of the various tramcars associated with relevant text. On front cover, has W7 1010 with green and black banding and price. On page 1 is a map of Melbourne tramways drawn in 1971, but showing abandoned lines as well. Page ii, inside cover, has a list of Traction Publications. Back cover has a end on photograph of SW6 940. Outside of covers is gloss paper. Corrigenda sheet - 85mm sq has been placed inside its own cover and numbered 1803a. Thirty six page (A4) plus 10 folded A3 pages report with clear plastic cover, card rear cover and bound using a white comb binder, featuring a black and white photograph of BTM No. 33 on front cover. Report titled "City of Ballarat - Feasibility Study for Reinstatement of the Ballarat Trams - Final Report - July 1998". Report looks at background, geometric criteria, depot location, alignment proposals, the BTM, existing tramcars, availability and sources of materials, tramcar requirements, operational equipment and has an Appendix. Prepared as revision F, Final report 31/7/1998 by Richard Darby of Maunsell Proprietary Limited in association with Allom Lovell and Associates Pty Ltd. Contains a A3 map of the main area of "original tramway system" - excludes Sebastopol and ends of Mt Pleasant and Victoria St. lines. Stored as a 48 pages with a metal fold back clip to hold sheets together. Front cover featured a photograph of ESCo No. 1. Contains information on research design, data analysis, results, conclusions and recommendations, list of references, exhibits, tables, data summaries, copies of newspaper items and background material.
