Jessie Partington was born at Willis Vale in 1911 and worked around the farm; when older she and her sisters had to deliver milk around the area from the farm dairy. Jessie attended Greensborough Primary School and from age 4 had piano and singing lessons. She had a beautiful voice, singing in church and choirs. Born in 1863, he was 15 when the family moved to Willis Vale. Charles married Emma Britnell and moved to Gisborne where 4 of their 5 daughters were born. They built a house at 25 Hailes Street and move back to Greensborough. Born in 1883, Herb Medhurst was the eldest of David and Martha’s 8 children. He moved to Greensborough with the family at age 17. He was a good sportsman, playing cricket and excelling at wood chopping winning many ribbons at shows. He moved to Brunswick after his marriage in 1917 where he worked as a carter. He had many jobs and moved around Victoria finally settling in Brunswick.
