From a family who had three generations that worked for Dennys Lascelles. This is a balance sheet and annual report for the year 1922. Names of note featured in the document include DPC Wilson, WF Volum and JSB Orr.Off-white two page folded paper booklet with black text. Front page lists the directors and staff of Dennys Lascelles responsible for compiling the report. The inside pages state numbers and figures for the previous financial year. The back cover has a short paragraph about the document.

The Booklet was given to City of Caulfield Council with several similar and related items including preliminary drafts for the Booklet. Booklet - 2 sheets of paper vertically folded and stapled in middle with text and images printed on both sides in black ink print with some green ink. Booklet is a patriotic fund raising appeal for a Memorial Hall for the Caulfield R.S.L. Front cover of booklet shows representation of the proposed Memorial Hall.

David Gordon Collection. The monument was created and erected by Mr. Barber of Dunolly in October 1919. It was unveiled by Brigadier General Brand C.B. C.M.G. D.S.O. at 2:30pm on Saturday November 8th, 1919. The Welcome Home Committee, formed 2nd July 1917, was largely responsible for commissioning the monument. Foundation members were Mrs. B. Patterson, Mrs J. Bock and the Misses P. Lemin, Violet Radnell, D. Dyer and Doris and Phoebe Bock. The Committee arranged 'Welcome Home' functions for each local soldier returning home after service in the First World War. Tarnagulla had a very large number of enlistments for its population. Angus M. Comrie is standing to the right of the Memorial with his daughter Mavis Comrie, and Nell Alexander. Mavis Comrie presented a new Union Jack flag to the Tarnagulla School on 25th July 1919 to commemorate Peace. Peace Medals were also distributed to the school students. The men in uniform at ground level are making up a Guard of Honour consisting of returned soldiers drawn from around the Tarnagulla district. They formed up at the Victoria Hotel, and there is a good photograph of them elsewhere in this collection. In 1957 the 'Incorporation of the Melbourne District Nursing Service' was authorized on the 5th of March 1957. The Melbourne District Nursing Society was founded in February 1885 and in 1926 opened the After-Care Home. The name of the Society then became the Melbourne District Nursing Society and After-Care Home until 1935 when the word 'Home' was replaced with the word 'Hospital'. In 1957 the two bodies separated and the the 'Incorporation of the Melbourne District Nursing Service' was authorized on the 5th of March 1957. This name continued to be used until 1966 when Royal patronage was granted and it became the Royal District Nursing Service (RDNS).Black and white document - 'Incorporation of Melbourne District Nursing Service' . This is an extract from the Victorian Parliamentary Debates on Tuesday 18th July, 1922. It is titled "Death of the Honorable James Cameron" and is a tribute from Mr Lawson, the Victorian premier. In 1882 James Cameron was the first Orbost councillor of the newly constituted Tambo Shire. In the next twenty years he served as justice of the peace, shire councillor, guardian of St James's Anglican Church, Sunday school superintendent and president of the local agricultural society. In 1902 he won a by-election for Gippsland East and took his seat in the Legislative assembly. He serve for eighteen years and his main achievements were securing one million pounds for East Gippsland development bringing the railway to Orbost and establishing the Country Roads Board.James Cameron was an early Orbost pioneer, a respected community member and a prominent politician.A memorial extract from the Victorian Parliamentary Debates. Sidney Victor Long No 1580 from Bendigo first enlisted in WA in the 3rd reinforcements 11th Batt AIF on 12.11.14. Embarked for Eygpt on 22.2.15 then to Gallipoli on 7.5.15, WIA on 6.8.15 GSW to the neck, returned to Australia for discharge with the recommendation he was permanently unfit on 17.9.15. He re enlisted in Bendigo No 5715 in 18th reinforcements to the 8th Batt AIF on 4.3.16 age 30 years 9 months writing a letter to say he was perfectly fit.
