In 1994, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV) held a "Warm Up For Winter Dance" as a fundraising event during National Arthritis Week. The dance, which was held at the San Remo Ballroom, had a multicultural theme and featured performances by professional dancers and dance troupes. This photo depicts AFV President, Bruce Dyson, joining in some dancing with two belly dancers at the event. On Monday the 17th of April, 1989, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's Malvern Opportunity Shop held a fashion parade at the Malvern Valley Golf and Reception Centre. The fundraising event, which included a light luncheon and auction, was attended by around 70 people and raised $1,400 for the AFV. In this photo, Kay Doherty from the MS Society, acts as compere while AFV op shop volunteer, Enid Hobbs, models an outfit along the catwalk. The large audience, seated in rows curving around the end of the catwalk, looks on. A different photo from the event appears in the July 1988 - June 1989 Annual Report.B&W photo of the interior of large reception room. The photo accompanying the article is of AFV staff member, Sue Eagle, wearing a 1950s display wedding gown. The article states that Sue is pictured with Ian Howell from John Travers Studios. The event is also covered in the July 1988 - June 1989 Annual Report. This article is also accompanied by a photo - this time, of Helen Abicair (from Helen Abicair's Model Agency) with Ian Howell. However, in this article, he is stated as being from John Townsend Photographic Studios.
