The declaration was noticed in an antique shop by a Dutch antique dealer who purchased it and donated it to the DAHC.Official declaration establishing the Dutch Consulate in Melbourne. The framed declaration is signed by the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Dutch Queen, Wilhemina of Orange, on 9 May 1924.Dated: 9 Mei negentien vier en twintig ( 9 May 1924 ) and signed by Queen Wilhelmina. Has creases that somebody tried to fix with white-out.

Bottle is loosely banana shaped, with a wider section in the middle narrowing to a neck at either end. Purchased from an antique shop in Willunga, South Australia by Dr Malcolm Barnett, who then donated it to the collection.Glass feeding bottle. Bulbous glass bottle with openings at either end. The upper surface is rounded, and the bottom surface is angled to allow the bottle to sit on a flat surface. The upper end has a wider neck suitable for a rubber teat, whilst the lower end is narrower and may have had a valve attachment. Graduated measurement markings for tablespoons and ounces run along each side of the bottle. This is a souvenir which would have been mass-produced for tourists with the wording on the boomerang added to suit each different town or place. This type of souvenir was popular in Australia in the 1930s, 40s and 50s. This item came from a Hamilton antique shop.This item is of some minor interest as it demonstrates what tourists were buying in the 1940s. The use of the boomerang would indicate that overseas and local buyers would be attracted by what was seen as a typical Australian symbol. The size of the item would attract those travelling with limited luggage space. The item can be noted by researchers of social history and used for displayThis is a souvenir of Warrnambool in the shape of a wooden boomerang with a small yellow ribbon tied in the middle of the boomerang and a 1940 calendar attached by the ribbon. The wording on the boomerang is in gold lettering. The calendar is in the form of a small booklet. It can be displayed on a hook using the yellow ribbon loop. Part of the Zakrzewski Collection of spinning wheels donated to the National Wool Museum by Mr Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski. For many years, Mr Zakrzewski collected, researched and repaired spinning wheels from all over the world. This wheel was acquired in 1977 from an antique shop in Brighton and was Mr Zakrzewski's second purchase for his spinning wheel collection. It is a Swiss wheel and dates from the late 19th century.
