Has been in the donor's family for at least 70 years and came from her mother-in-law, whose family came from New Caledonia and Trieste. However, it was very possibly purchased in an antique shop.
Cream silk gauze dress with short sleeves and hem flounce. White machine lace edges and insertions. All hand stitched including pintucks. Tape lace decoration on front bodice and back opening with two buttons
