Inez Abbott (1896-1957) was an art student of Arthur T Woodward. In 1922 she went to France and produced mostly European scenes. Justin Gill (1903-1996) was born in Bendigo to Eustace Justin Gill and his wife, Louisa Hunter. He studied at the Bell-Shore school in Melbourne and is recognised as a modernist painter.
