Justin Gill (1903-1996) was born in Bendigo to Eustace Justin Gill and his wife, Louisa Hunter. He studied at the Bell-Shore school in Melbourne and is recognised as a modernist painter. In 1947 he married Margaret Stokes (1914-1985).
A booklet titled ' Justin Gill retrospective exhibition.' Bendigo Art Gallelry 27th July - 24th August, 1983.' Bottom left corner of front cover has a number sticker 0133 HAL.
