It has HMV Monaco badge on top of front and His Masters Voice badge on lower panel. Bought by donor in 1976 to play 78 rpm records. Second hand purchase probably first played C. 1960. 16 rpm records first produced in 1955.Light brown and red case with white band around middle. Has hinged lid and white carry handle on front. Lid hinges to rear with two clips to hold shut on sides. Inside has 18cm turntable, volume control knob and stylus arm with LP and 78 stylus on end. Has speed control marked N_16_33_45_78. 240 volt electric power lead coming through hole in base plate. Has small clip to hold down stylus arm when in transit. This is a wood stereoviewer with folding handle The viewer has two lenses at a set distance in the wooden hood which is lined in green velvet. The pictures can be moved vertically on the slide holder in order to focus them. These devices became popular in the middle of the 19th century. This is probably a Holmes type stereoscope, named after its inventor, Oliver Wendell Holmes (1860). Velvet lined view mask with engravwed patterns. The Uebergang family lived at Tooram Park, Allansford from 1912 until 1992. The projector is part of a collection of toys given into the care of Cheese World Museum.Tin toy projector mounted on a wooden base. A box shape with a lens on the front has a removable lid with a fluted edge. In front of this is the film holder which has a carrier for the film, a winding mechanism, and a protruding lens at the front. This projector was lit by a candle inserted in the body.
