In the early 1990s, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria began to develop educational programs that would be more accessible to Culturally And Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. In the early 1990s, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria developed various programs to make information about arthritis more accessible to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities. In 1993, an Arthritis Self Help Course with trained leaders from the Vietnamese community was developed. This promotional photo for the self-help course features four Vietnamese course leaders. The photo appears on page 1 (cover page) and page 9 of the Vol 6 No 4, Summer 1993 issue of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update. It accompanies an article titled, "Enthusiastic Vietnamese Group - a first in Australia". The photo is captioned: "Four of the Vietnamese community who trained as leaders for the Self Help Course, are pictured at the Foundation."
