Connor‑Shea was founded in Sunshine by four former McKay/Massey‑Ferguson employees who left to create a new agricultural‑machinery company. Their factory on Fourth Avenue, Sunshine became a major manufacturer of seeders, ploughs, drills, and cultivation equipment, exporting internationally.Glossy gold-coloured appearance on the face of seven coasters. Slightly raised lettering - a rectangle, two concentric circles and two laurels. Within the rectangle the words CONNOR SHEA in capital letters. Within the two concentric circles the word AGRICULTURAL above and MACHINERY below all in capital letters. On the back sides of coasters, navy blue felt with a sticker of where the coasters were made. Leslie “Les” John Shea was a skilled agricultural‑machinery worker at McKay Massey Ferguson in Sunshine. Along with three colleagues, he became dissatisfied with the direction of the company and left to establish a new, independent manufacturing firm. His partners were Tom Connor, Charles "Tom" Dealy, Edward "Ted" George Waters and Jim D. Phillips of Albury. His technical expertise and leadership helped shape Connor‑Shea into a major national manufacturer.
