Historical information

Leslie “Les” John Shea was a skilled agricultural‑machinery worker at McKay Massey Ferguson in Sunshine. Along with three colleagues, he became dissatisfied with the direction of the company and left to establish a new, independent manufacturing firm. His partners were Tom Connor, Charles "Tom" Dealy, Edward "Ted" George Waters and Jim D. Phillips of Albury.

His technical expertise and leadership helped shape Connor‑Shea into a major national manufacturer.
